သူ့အမြင်....
ဒီနေ့မှာတော့ ကျွန်တော်တို့ YSSW ရဲ့ Volunteer တစ်ယောက်ဖြစ်တဲ့ Iris ရဲ့ Social Worker တွေအပေါ် "သူ့အမြင်" က ဘယ်လိုလေးရှိလည်းဆိုတာကို မျှဝေပေးသွားမှာပဲ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
"ကျွန်မတို့ကို ဒီလောကထဲ ခေါ်ဆောင်လာပေးခဲ့တဲ့ မိဘများဟာဆိုရင် ကျွန်တော်တို့ရဲ့ ဘဝကဏ္ဍတိုင်းမှာ လွှမ်းမိုးမှုရှိနိုင်သူတွေပဲ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ မိဘတွေက ကျွန်မတို့ လိုအပ်ချက်တွေအတွက် တာဝန်ရှိတယ်လို့ဆိုနိုင်ပါတယ်။ အဓိပ္ပါယ်ပြည့်ဝတဲ့ အရာတချို့ကို ဥပမာအနေနဲ့ ပေရးမယ်ဆိုရင်ဖြင့် အစားအသောက်၊ အဝတ်အစား၊ နေထိုင်ဖို့နေရာ၊ ငွေ၊ ဘေးကင်းမှု၊ စောင့်ရှောက်မှုနဲ့ အုပ်ထိန်းမှု စတဲ့ အရာတွေအတွက်ပေါ့။ "လူမှုဝန်ထမ်း" ဆိုတဲ့ "Social Worker" တွေဟာဆိုရင်လည်း ကျွန်မတို့ရဲ့ မိဘများလိုပဲ ကျွန်မတို့ လူမှုအသိုင်းအဝိုင်းအတွက် "မိဘ"သဖွယ်ပါပဲ။ လူမှုဝန်ထမ်းတွေရဲ့ အဓိက ရည်ရွယ်ချက်ကလည်း လူမှုရေးနဲ့ ပုဂ္ဂိုလ်ရေးဆိုင်ရာ စိန်ခေါ်မှုများ တွေ့ကြုံရင်ဆိုင်နေရတဲ့သူတွေကို အကူအညီပေးဖို့ပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒါ့အပြင် သူတို့တွေဟာ ကလေးများကိုရော အရွယ်ရောက်ပြီးသူများကိုပါ ထိခိုက်နစ်နာမှုမရှိရလေအောင်ရယ် လိုအပ်ချက်များအတွက်ပါ ပံ့ပိုးမှုတွေ ပေးကြပါတယ်။ သက်ကြီးရွယ်အိုများနှင့် ကလေးငယ်များအား ကူညီပေးခြင်းအပြင် လူမှုဝန်ထမ်းများဟာဆိုရင် ကျောင်းများ၊ ဆေးရုံများ၊ စိတ်ကျန်းမာရေး ဆေးခန်းများ၊ အကျဉ်းထောင်များ၊ စစ်သုံ့ပန်းများ၊ ဘိုဘွားရိပ်သာစတာတွေအတွက်လည်း ကူညီပံ့ပိုးမှုတွေ လုပ်ဆောင်ပါသေးတယ်။"
"We, as humans, are shaped and brought into this world by our parents, who influence every aspect of our life. They are responsible for taking care of us: food, clothing, a place to live, money, safety, supervision, and control are some examples of the meaningful things they provide. Just like how our parents take care of us, social workers are like parents to our community. Social workers’ primary objective is to help people with social and personal challenges. Furthermore, they protect children and adults with support needs from harm. Apart from helping adults and children, social workers also provide a helping hand to schools, hospitals, mental health clinics, jails, prisoners of war, homes for the aged, etc."
