About us

Yangon School of Social Work (YSSW)

Yangon School of Social Work (YSSW) is the pioneer social work school in Myanmar, and it offers short-term social work courses and training to promote social work education and to enhance the social work profession in Myanmar through upgrading the knowledge and skills of working professionals from the field of social work in Myanmar.

Since our humble beginning in September 2021, we believe that while the country presently seems to be at its darkest moment, Yangon School of Social Work is committed to preparing our students to be ready for the dawn. Our school provides affordable quality education and scholarships for students in financial hardships to help them continue their education. YSSW has been dedicated to empowering our students to become capable and competent social change agents to be able to explore perspectives and take them into account when looking for solutions to tackle the challenges of social problems found in the 21st century.

"We believe diversity sparks innovation, inclusion fosters belonging, and compassion drives change. As we're social workers, we're committed to creating programs that uplift marginalized voices, promote equitable policies, and build a kinder world for everyone."
