About YSSW

First :  Online School of Social Work in Myanmar

The Yangon School of Social Work (YSSW), Myanmar’s pioneering online private institution dedicated to this discipline, offers short-term training programs and a one-year Diploma in Social Work that includes 200 hours of supervised field practicum. Through these initiatives, YSSW seeks to advance the recognition of the profession, strengthen academic and practical competencies, and equip practitioners with the knowledge and skills necessary to address Myanmar’s evolving social challenges.

Light :  Building Light in Dark Time

Since our humble beginning in September 2021, we believe that while the country presently seems to be at its darkest moment, Yangon School of Social Work is committed to preparing our students to be ready for the dawn.

Hope :  Affordable Education, Lasting Impact

YSSW is more than an educational institution—it has become a platform of hope for people across Myanmar. By providing affordable, high-quality education and scholarships, we ensure that even students facing financial hardships can pursue their studies. We are committed to empowering learners from all walks of life to become capable social change agents, ready to draw on diverse perspectives and develop solutions to the pressing challenges of the 21st century.
